We adopted a standard poodle named Zoey.

Zoey being lazy and adorable. My mother has been wanting a poodle for about 4 years now. She wanted one because for one thing they don't shed, they are also cute and cuddly and very smart dogs. We had been looking everywhere and could never find the perfect one. So one morning my mom was watching the news as normal and the featured the adoptable pet of the day. It was a chocolate poodle. We went to see him later that day to request to adopt him. Over 200 people did the same. My mother was so disappointed and all hope was lost to find her poodle. One day i decided to check out the local Animal shelter and stumbled upon 2 black standard poodle puppies. They had just rescued them from a breeder. I was so excited they were adorable. When I told my mom later that day she didn't seem to thrilled. I told her to give them a chance and see if she liked them. Which I knew she would. So anyway we came back the next day and sat in the room with one of the puppies. She was our Poodle and we got her that day. We went back a couple days later to adopt the other one but we were too late some one already had. But my mom is thankful that we found our little Zoey. She is the best poodle ever!
