Update on "Multiple Health Problems but Superior Dog"

by Judith
(Alexandria MN)

Here is an update on Dancer. She was unable to tolerate any of the drugs prescribed for the pulmonary valve problem and the replacement valve will not be available from Medtronics as thought. So the decision is this: I will continue to treat the Addison's Disease with the drugs available but will only be able to treat the right sided heart failure with diuretics. I will lose her--there is no doubt of that but will enjoy every minute I have with her until that time comes. One of the issues with Addison's is uncontrolled urine leakage and she has started to experience this. If anyone is aware of some kind of Depends for dogs that I could put on her when she is in the house (which is most of the time) I would appreciate hearing about it on this site if that is possible.
