Tyler the Toy Poodle was only 4 Years Old

by Mimi
(California)

We had to put Tyler down yesterday as a result of his blood work result. A part of me died yesterday as I had to carry my toy poodle onto the table for the vet.

Tyler had 2 large quarter-size bladder stones coupled with a new diagnosis for Addison's Disease. He would not have survived the bladder stone removal surgery as his body could not produce enough blood. He did not eat for 2 days and barely drank. He couldn't urinate when he needed to and when he did urinate, he did so on himself while laying down or sleeping. He was such a clean dog that this bothered him greatly. We spent sleepless nights cleaning him in between vet visits.

He was only 4 years old. Born on Thanksgiving day in 2005. We were going to do a huge celebration for his birthday this year. We are in the process of moving to a place that was dog friendly.

My heart is broken. I couldn't have asked for a better protector. He was 5 lbs or less when he died. At his strongest, he was almost 7 lbs. He checked on our family nightly and made sure everyone was okay. Our home remains silent, now. We love you, Tyler. You can never be replaced in our hearts and our minds.
