"The Kangaroo"

by Linda
(Indiana)

I walked into my local shelter and there was "Kanga". Growling and barking through the kennel. Which I thought was odd for a standard. I later found out how tramatic the past few days had been for her . I asked about her and was told I could not adopt her that she was part of an estate and her owner had died . I filled out the papers anyway. The next day they called and told me to come pick up my dog. I already had one at home "Paris", and thought they would be good companions. Once she got out of the kennel she started twirling around and was a very happy camper!!! She climbed in my jeep, curled up in a ball and fell asleep. I think she knew she was safe and going to her new home. The 2 poodles instantly took a liking to each other and are best of friends. Kanga has bonded with me very well and I am so happy that I found her.She is a wonderful dog and the most loyal companion. I will tell anyone that before you answer that ad in the paper for a dog PLEASE check your local shelter. Adopt!!!!There are so many great dogs like Kanga out there ,that through no fault of their own land up homeless. If you already have a dog consider a second. They are so much fun to watch playing and trying to outsmart each other. Paris is much better behaved because she and Kanga have a large fenced yard to romp around in and burn up energy. They love to go for walks and ride in my car. Really folks 2 is so much better than 1. So get to your local shelter and ADOPT a new dog . NOW!!!!!!
