We have adopted 4 standards, now ages 13, 10, 5 and 1 .... 1 is from anti cruelty in Chicago, 2 are from the same breeder in Michigan (people returned them for some reason) and our last is from a rescue in Indiana .... all are perfect in every way!!
I highly recommend adopting a standard poodle ... the 13 yr old was a puppy, the 10 yr old was about 1 yr old, the 5 yr old was 8 months old, and the 1 yr old was 2 months when we adopted them ,,, all at different times. They all adopted very well .
We need to stop getting dogs, it is costly .... but we LOVE our poodles!!!!
