I just read your story about Chance and tears came to my eyes. I had a beautiful black standard for 14 years and loved her dearly. When we lost Kira I was devastated(I still have her ashes in and urn in my home). She was incredible with my children when they were babies and became a second mother to them. I miss her dearly and was very touched by your story. You are an angel to care for your Chance so well, and I believe there is a special place in heaven for you. We just bought a new red male puppy 2 weeks ago (6 years after losing Kira), and even though I know Caesar won't replac my Kira, I hope he will bring even a small part of the love and hapiness to our lives as Chance brought to yours. Caring for and loving our dogs makes us better people who can love uncoditionally and who develop more empathy and caring for others. Your story touched my deeply and I wish you love and luck in your future.
