I am so sorry for your lose. I too lost my darling girl. Scarlet was a silver standard poodle and the best friend in the world. I lost her August 19th, 2009 at the age of 11 1/2. I was devastated. I cried for days and even slept with her collar. Even now just thinking of her brings tears to my eyes. I had to stop thinking of how she looked the last time I saw her, so sick, and start thinking of her running up the road happily and turning a corner. For some reason this helped me. I will never get over her lose but it has easied a little. Her ashes are sitting on my fireplace mantel next to my chair with her collar on it and her spirit is never far away.
