my loony poodle

by anne
(sydney australia)

I answered an ad in the newspaper for a 2 year old standard poodle, wanting her as a companion for my poodle. In the back yard was this poor, thin , matted and mad black poodle. She was chained to the clothesline and it was obvious by the filth around her, that she had been kept there for a long time. She was so hysterically happy to meet me and my poodle.
Her owners made a sorry excuse that they had had their yard and house renovated and it was too small for her now.I took her home and pampered her. My vet checked her out and sorted out her extensive neglect issues.
some months later when she was in better condition, she was desexed. she has lived such a fabulous life, and been best mates with my previous and now new pood.
that was 9 years ago...and what a fantastic girl she has been! She is still loony and hyperactive, but she is so clever and affectionate and funny that I can't imagine my life without her. She is just a treasure!
