Your entry makes me think of the day I fell in love with my first child. I was working as a dog groomer when they brought in the litter of a Standard poodle we did often. I sat on the floor to look at all the little fur balls in the laundry basket in front of me. I had always said I wouldn't have a poodle because of all the maintenance. As I looked into the basket one little black ball looked back at me. Using his litter mate as a stepping stool he pushed himself out of the basket and into my lap and just stared into my eyes. It was then that I realized I had just became the owner of a Standard Poodle, he had picked me. I am so glad that he did and he has been the love of my life and my child for almost 6 years.
