My departed best friend

My boy Stan
Stanley had a short but good life and will never be replaced. Having a host of good traits like catching a ball, jumping from a standing still position to incredible hieghts, playing hide and go seek with me and my daughter, to singing along with a harmonica, this dog was special. He also had some bad traits as well which helped lead to his demise. He would go for a "run about" in the nieghborhood if he ever got the chance, eat socks and underwear, and though he had webbed feet, he couldnt swim worth a darn. But we loved that dog more than we knew. He ate a tampon from my wifes purse and saw the Vet almost every day for a week. We were told that as long as he was drinking and urinating, that he would possibly pass or throw up the tampon. Unfortunately, he died in emergency surgury. He wagged his tall up until they took him into the operating room.I will always second guess waiting to have the surgury. He has been missed and our other standard poodle is having similar surgury for stomach bloat as I write this story. Life is short for all. But I will always have these wonderful memories!
