Molly (AKA Fiona)

by Cam
(Long Island, NY)

This has been a very sad and wonderful summer. We lost our beautiful standard poodle Gracie due to bloat. It happened so sudenly and the vet was not able to save her. I was so sad and so lost. My husband went on the web every day to look for rescue poodles. We found Fiona in Conway new hampshire on Pet finder. Well we drove 7 hours to meet her and I knew this was a dog that needed us as much as we needed her. She is a full bred standard poodle, choclate brown and 7 months old. She is very shy of people, but still very sweet. It has been 2 weeks, and we are working like crazy to socialize her, and she is doing amazingly well. She had to have an eye operation, and her umbilical hernia fixed, but you would never know how needy she was when we picked her up. Kudos to the shelter( Conway Humane Society) Fiona is now Molly and every day she is growing by leaps and bounds. We will vacation in Maine next week, and she will start obedience training in September. Here's to a new beginning with a happy ending!
