Maxadoodle but a million - standard poodle

by Mary, Max's mom
(Louisville, Ga USA)

I rescued Max at the age of 4 . It took almost 4 months before he would look me in the eyes. His past is scattered with alot of abuse and neglect. Since Max has been with me he refuses to leave my side. I feel that he is afraid of being left again. However, there isn't any reason why he should feel that way NOW. He also does not like men. ( not to good for MY social life). It took two groomers and now with mild sedation for Max to be groomed. However, he has grown to like it! Max was welcomed home by another dog, Elly May. She too is a rescue dog and the two cannot be separated. It is starting to be the three of us cannot be separated. In some way, I feel that my rescue dogs may have rescued me as I rescued them.
No one will ever know the feeling of unconditional love a dog can give. Their presence and simple needs warrant a long and loving life together. A dogs expression can make anyone feel the desire to get another. I cannot spend enough time with my kids. Sure they are pampered too much, but you know, they too deserve it.
