"Maddy" from LLRescue in Kansas City, Missouri

by Diane & Richard Smith
(Langhorne, PA, USA)

The minute we saw "Lilly Renee" on the LLRescue website, we knew she was meant for us! Being previous poodle owners and loving the breed, we were now ready to love another poodle or two since ours had passed away several years ago.

We drove 2300 miles total to pick up our newly named, "Maddy" from Kansas City. She was even more beautiful than the original pictures showed and the rescue organization was impressive in the manner of how prepared they were to present her to us. She had been beautifully groomed and bathed and came with collar and leash.

Maddy is about 30lbs. and was our first knowledge of the "parti-poodle". She is mostly white with black spots on oher back and one side. Her head is black with a hint of grey on top. She has been determined to be about 10-12months in age.

She has shown incredible intelligence and learned every request and words after once or twice. She is so eager to please us. The rescue org. told us she did have a little problem with excitement urination and yes, that is true. She has not had one accident in the house but gets so excited when we wake up or come home from an errand. Any help on this would be appreciated.

We can't thank LLRescue enough for the wonderful care they gave Maddy upon rescuing her. She had been found close to the Ozark National Forest, full of ticks and fleas. She is an amazing girl and we feel blessed to have her in our home. She will have two new teacup sisters coming soon, also being rescued! We love poodles and are so happy to find these special girls!
