have you tried the local poodle rescue in St. Pete? Florida Poodle Rescue. there are many standards shown on the website, as well as the one in Ft. Lauderdale, Coastal Poodle Rescue. We got a mini from a rescue in Bonita Springs in February and she is the sweetest most wonderful dog. I KNOW there w/ be one for you that needs to be rescued.

I happened to find your blog and wanted to comment. I certainly understand the loss you are feeling, having gone through it myself a couple years ago. I dont think you ever get over the feeling, but always remember the joy and love that dog brought to your life. I recently bought a 4 month old black standard female, excellent pedigree, from a gentlement that has been breeding and showing standards for 35 years. If you think you would be interested in contacting him, please let me and I will give you his name and number. He is located in Oviedo, Fl, about 30 miles north of Orlando.
