My dear friend just put his wonderful Romeo to sleep this week..He was eleven years old and got cancer. They operated to remove his spleen but Romeo died after four months..Jim is devastated. He and his wife are older and live on the ocean in Newport Beach, Calif. Jim spent every moment with Romeo. He had tons of walks up and down the boardwalk each day..He had tons of love from everyone who knew him..I found him for Jim nine years ago (Romeo was two) when Romeo's mom was dying. It was a perfect fit...Jim's other black standard poodle just passed away at 17 years old. Jim cooks for them and treats his dogs like they should be treated. Anyway, Jim's vision isn't so great so I am scouring the internet trying to find a rescue dog for him. His heart is so broken and he has asked me to see if I could find another dog for him to love.
