Fate

I was driving home from the park because my work schedule got cut short and I had taken my two poodles to the park. I have a toy and mini poodle but always wanted a standard. On the way home, I slammed on my brakes to avoid hitting a standard poodle in the road. I stopped and got him in my car, he looked exactly like one of my poodles only a lot bigger. He was sweet and I fell in love. He had a collar but not tags. I called the nearest vet just as the owner was going in their door. We spoke on the phone and the owner came to meet me. I teased her that I wanted to keep him but was glad that she found him. I had poodles and would be devasted if they were lost. She laughed as she told me that he was actually in need of a new home. A few hours later, I went to her house to pick him up and take him home. He's been mine ever since.
