I had a retired racing Greyhound for about 12 years before she died and honestly, I would not have another. Not that she wasn't a nice dog because she was! But Greyhounds just don't meet MY needs. They are wonderful for people who want a very mellow, couch potato, home body type of dog.
Anyway, I had lusted after a Spoo for many years wile I had the Greyhound. After she passed I began looking for a Spoo. When I told my parents that I was getting another dog they both rolled their eyes. You should have seen their expressions! It was because they had not been crazy about the Greyhound either and I would enlist them to dog sit sometimes (like we all d with our family).
Since getting Allie, they have fallen in love with her! She even sleeps in bed with my parents when she stays the night with them due to my work schedule! She has become a full member of the family!! Standards are AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME dogs!

Rainbow Bridge by: Anonymous
I had never heard the expression before about our darling pets crossing the rainbow bridge when they pass away but I really beleive it. The day my darling Scarlet lost her life, there was the most beautiful, vivid rainbow in the sky and I remember saying that it was Scarlet telling us she was okay. What a wonderful, beautiful way for our friends to go to heaven.
