Ervan Chew Dog Park

Part of Ervan Chew Park, formerly called "Dunlavy Park" this is a small dog park in a city park and is free to all. It's right next to the Southwest Freeway in Montrose and easy to get to with pretty good parking.

Like all city dog parks, it is open from dawn to dusk and has several amenities like "poop bags" and water stations. It's double gated and secure and best of all, free. Children under 12 are not allowed inside the dog park area but there is a nice playground next door and in eyeline of the dog area. Not far away is a James Coney Island hot dog stand and it's easy to pick up a takeout meal of the Houston favorite with you to the park. The old live oaks here are beautiful and shady when it's hot.
