god bless you by: purrwhizz@yahoo.com
He is a lovely boy and GOD BLESS YOU for adopting him and taking him into your family. I have one that I bred showed and finished for a client (I sold him as a show puppy) sent home at almost 3 and did not see for years. He is 5 generations of my breeding and I lost his dad to a heart attack at 16..........he still was in fairly stable health except for a bad heart but still went everywhere with me and followed me everywhere, when I got a call from clients saying they did not want Frosty anymore and would I take him back and honor my puppy contract. I said of course and that I was moving and would be coming right past them in a couple of weeks. When I stopped to pick him up I was horrified, they had gone from being breeders to having a PUPPY MILL.......qand they wanted me to pay them for him. I was terribley upset and gave them the $100.00 they wanted and left with him. I figured they could only buy dog food or something like that with what I gave them. But I did set Animal Control and the police on them.........another terrible fact is that the Animal Control officer knew that they had a puppy mill and could have cared less. Heart of the Amish Country in PA.......my parents go to one of the worst slaughter sales for horses this side of the Rockies once a week and get out as many rescues as they can, but the State Police are involved in this as well as the local police who just love arresting the Amish farmers and the truckers.
God bless you again..........I have another Standard out of a puppy mill as well but he was bred by other millers. He does obedience, but his biggest job is to live, love, be loved and take care of one of my friends who is also my business partner. Jack lived with me and Frost for a while, he loves his "brother" but is Diane's darling and is happiest with her so that is where he lives, 1/4 mile away from me, he sees his brother daily, and has a happy life.
PS WE only paid $100.00 for Jack as well I won't pay anymore than that because they can't buy another dog with that tiny amount of money, just food or supplies
