Central Poodle Rescue

I'm a foster mom. I'm 55 and retired, thus I'm home 24/7. I love poodles, although I never thought I was a poodle person.
I met my husband at a dog show and we were married for 25 years until he passed away. He raised English Cockers and Springer Spaniels. I did obedience with German Shephards. Eventually, we raised Boston Terriers and English Bulldogs. After my husband passed away, it was too much work for me alone, so I kept one Boston as a pet.
I really missed a larger dog family but no longer wanted to breed or travel to shows by myself so I decided to try fostering poodles. Poodles seemed like the perfect dog for me. They are intelligent (bulldogs are not known for their brains) they don't shed and non-allergic for my grandchildren with cystic fibrosis.
After fostering my first poodle, I wanted to keep him, in fact, every poodle I fostered I wanted to keep. Finally, one apricot poodle said he was staying with me and would never leave. I am still fostering, but Jammer will be with me forever. He's 8 years old but acts like a puppy.
I've become a true poodle lover. My goal is to keep him in a show trim and not a puppy cut. I don't know if I'll make it, but I'm going to do my best. And of course, I will still love all of my fosters and hopefully a red one will cross my path.
