Annabelle Comes to American Canyon

We had a Standard Poodle for almost 15 years. When we had to put her down, my husband and I were heartbroken.I decided that this time around I wanted to rescue two standards. I immediately started looking and found Annabelle on Petfinder.She had never lived in a house,was never groomed and was very thin at 38lbs.The owners turned her into the pound and she was picked up by Bruce and Donna Jensen of Welcome Wagon Rescue in Orland CA. My husband and I went up to meet her and it was love at first sight. She is approx 1yr old. Very loving and smart. The Jensen,s are wonderful people! They had her groomed,vet checked and in the month she was with them, Annabelle gained 5lbs. Twelve days after we lost our beloved "Lucy" we brought Annabelle home. She has been with us for 3 weeks and we are all very happy. The first night we had her, she was afraid to go up stairs. Now she practically flies up and down the stairs. She has a big comfrontable bed,lots of toys and eats well.She is great with other dogs and very gentle with our 18yr old cat.Eventually we would like to adopt a male Standard.
